No Profanity or Inappropriate Material
This means no swearing or posting of other inappropriate things such as pornography, pranks (see below for details on that), and anything else above a PG level. No Illegal Content No posting of hacking software, viruses, and anything else illegal. Breaking this rule will result in an immediate permanent ban, no exceptions. No Harassment This means no harassing, of anyone. This would include via PMs. While we try not to, we CAN view every PM sent and if we see something suspicious you will be banned without hesitation. No Flaming This means no flat-out insulting another member during a conflict, in addition to any kind of insulting or flame-baiting on the forums Violation will result in post deletion and warn level raising. No Trolling This means coming into the forums and just being annoying. Violation will result in a warn increase by 50% (3 day ban). No Spamming This means no advertising on the forums as well as no posting things like "agdewatgredlhgtfjdslhsahget" just to increase your post count. Posts that are completely off topic and are not related to the topic count as spam. Violators will be heavily fined. No Rick Rolling/Pranking This means no linking to something you claim to be something else. This also means no making fake official threads. No Cheating/Hacking Discussions Absolutely NO hacking discussions will be tolerated. Initial violation results in a severe warning. PM an administrator if you think somebody is hacking. No Multiple Accounts Making more than one account is not allowed and both accounts will be banned when discovered (we can see your IP address, so it would only be a matter of time). No Plagiarism No stealing any content from another user or another website without citation. If we discover you have plagiarized, you will receive a rise in warn level (depending on what you plagiarized and the extent of the plagiarism). No Backseat Drivers/Mini-Modding No pretending to be a mod, basically. Saying things like "this is going to be deleted" and "this is against the rules, delete this" are mini-modding as well. No Impersonation of Administrators Or Moderators This means saying "I am a mod, and this topic sucks" or registering an administrator nickname to try and trick people into thinking it really is an administrator are all against the rules. Violation of the first will result in a warning, and the second a banning of your account. Stay On Topic This also means no hijacking a thread. In all threads you will talk about whatever the thread is about, and nothing else. Speak Proper English In a sentence, instead of saying "u haz 2 use teh spaelling and grammerz noob!!", say "You must use better spelling and grammar in these forums." This also means you may only speak in English on our forums unless you provide a translation immediately. Do Not Release Other Users' Private or Personal Information This includes ANY information they choose not to put on their profile that you may know. No Double Posting The edit button is there for a reason. If you want to add more to your post and you have the last post in the thread, use the edit button to add on to your post. Do not make a new post, or it will be deleted. Keep It PG-Rated United Lore houses a wide variety of differently-aged members, and as a result all discussion must be kept PG-rated. If it would not go in a PG-rated movie, it doesn't belong here, and posts that violate this policy will have their posts either edited or deleted. I will assume all members are at least in double digits, and so PG should be fine. This still means no foul language or image of any sort. Suggestions All suggestions go in the suggestions thread found in the "News" section of the forum. Violation will result in a warn level increase and deletion of the post. Smileys And Colors Please, just a maximum of five smileys per post. It is annoying to see a whole bunch. The amount of feeling you can make with lots of smileys should be able to be expressed in words. In addition to this, no colors that are too bright; we don't want to hurt the other member's eyes. Breaking of these rules will not be tolerated, as joining these forums means that you agree to them. Show proper respect for the forum, other members, and the staff of UL, and you will be perfectly fine. |
